Repurposed Saddle Bag
Has your well-loved saddle found itself no longer serving a purpose besides being a token of fond memories or worse yet... collecting dust in a forgotten corner of the barn? With Cowbell Leather Co. you can have your old saddle transformed into a handmade saddle bag or accessory, that will continue to accompany you in your daily travels.
HOW TO START: Please email me at: Cowbellleather@gmail.com. We will discuss the style of bag or accessory you are looking to have made. Once you are comfortable with your choice, a $100 deposit will be needed prior to work starting on your bag. A link for the deposit will be provided at the time you place your order.

Not sure what you want made? I am happy to assist with choosing a bag style if you are unsure, based on what will work best with your saddle and personal preferences when I have it at my shop. Each repurposed saddle bag will have its own unique character based on its coloring, saddle wear, markings and the patchwork, necessary in making your saddle bag.
TURNAROUND TIME: You can expect your project to be completed 1-2 months from when I receive your saddle.
PACKING & SHIPPING: The most efficient way to ship your saddle is by using the smallest box possible. Pack in any additional tack you are sending. Include a note with your contact info and please include your saddle bag choice. Cleaning & conditioning your tack is not required, but I certainly appreciate any cleaning efforts you happen to make :).

Once I receive your saddle, you will receive a follow up email from me, confirming the bag you want made and any additional details... I will also confirm where I should ship the bag, once it has been completed.
PERSONALIZATION: Make your bag even more personal by incorporating pieces like bridle parts, halters and reins. Name plates and saddle brand plates can be added as well, if you wish.
PRICING: All of my pricing for repurposed saddle bags (supplied or not) are made up of my labor and shop supplies. Personalization (see above) is free of charge!
REMNANTS: Leather remnants will be kept and repurposed unless you request that I hold on to them (for a future project you may have in mind) or you request they be returned at the time your bag is shipped.
All saddle trees are donated to a saddle fitter in PA, unless you request the tree be returned to you.
FINISHED PROJECT: When your bag is complete, I will reach out to notify you and make you aware of any possibility of a second bag, if you are interested.
FINAL PAYMENT: After your entire project is complete, you will receive an email with a link to checkout through my website. Please note, return shipping is included in the bag prices, but a small fee will be added to return a saddle tree. I fully ensure all personal saddle bags and require a signature upon delivery for security.
